Regular exercise is very important and can be so much fun

Our residents enjoyed a session with Matt from Fitnniss, gentle exercise to music to increase physical, mental and social well-being.  The aim of the sessions are to develop independence, create a fun social environment, increase self-esteem and decrease falls. 

Regular physical activity is one of the most important things you can do for your health It can prevent many of the health problems that seem to come with age.

Regular, moderate physical activity can help manage stress and improve your mood, and being active on a regular basis can help reduce feeling of being depressed.

Exercise is an effective treatment for many chronic conditions, for example people with arthritis, heart disease, or diabetes benefit from regular exercise. Exercise can also help with high blood pressure, balance problems or difficulty walking.
