Lovely afternoon of energetic dancing

Burns Night Celebrations

26 January 2018

Our home was decorated with tartan and thistles as our residents enjoyed a Scottish Themed lunch with a choice of Highland Venison Casserole, Wild Scottish Salmon or Traditional Scottish Haggis followed by a group of Scottish Country Dancers. We were entertained with a Strathspey dance called McDonald of the Isles, a Jig called Pelorus Jack and Reel of 51st Highland Division. One of the gentleman played a Burn's tune on his lowland pipes and another sang the Banks O' Doon. There was even some audience participation. It was a pleasure to watch them all, they looked like they were having a lot of fun.
